  • Tap on Download entire payroll update and select Update.

Method 2:- Change the name of QuickBooks CPS folder

  • Navigate to CPS folder following this path-  C:Program FilesIntuitQuickBooks 20nnComponentsPayrollCPS

Note- The nn in this path represent the version number such as QuickBooks 2020 or QuickBooks 2019.

  • Right click on the CPS folder and select Rename. 

  • Change the name to CPSOLD and press Enter.

  • Now update your QuickBooks payroll tax table. 

Method 3- Turn off User Account Control (UAC) configuration

  • Press Windows+R and the Run command window will open.

  • Type Control Panel and press OK. 

  • Now click on User Accounts and choose User Accounts (Classic View)

  • Tap on Change user account control settings (Note- If a message appear by UAC, tap on Yes to continue)

  • Click on the slider and shift it to:-

    • Set to Never Notify and select OK to turn UAC OFF

    • Set to Always Notify and select OK to turn UAC ON (Note- if a message appear by UAC, tap on Yes to continue)

  • Reboot your system.

Method 4- Reboot and Troubleshoot your system in Safe Mode

  • Go to the utility section of QuickBooks and then use Verify and Rebuild utility.

  • Update your QuickBooks to the latest release. 

  • Reboot your system in safe mode and then update your QuickBooks payroll tax table.

  • Reboot your system.
